Why This Year’s NFL Draft Is Going To Be The Best There Has Ever Been

At last, something is here, something exciting in the sports world is finally upon us. I originally thought a webcam horse competition on ESPN was our savior and could not have been more wrong with that take. This one, though, I can not be wrong about, the NFL Draft is here and will be giving us our first genuine sports fill that we have had in a while.

Lord knows that Mel Kiper Jr.’s adrenaline is through the roof right now as this draft class is panning out to be one of the most interesting ones we have seen in a while. What makes for the best drafts are the ones with uncertainty, and that’s what the 2020 draft class has. Outside of Joe Burrow and Chase Young, nobody really knows where the chips are going to fall, not even the great Kiper.

It makes it all the merrier when you have a couple of first-round quarterbacks that have been shuffled all over the board on mock drafts everywhere. That is exactly what you have with Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa and Oregon’s Justin Herbert, who seem to be in a neck and neck race of being selected by the Dolphins, who are in a desperate need for a quarterback with the No.5 pick.

I can’t tell you when sports are going to be back because to be quite honest, nobody knows. What I can say though is that every single one of us should approach this draft like it’s the Super Bowl. I am going to be on the edge of my seat on every single pick, even the fourth round just to fully appreciate some sort of excitement in the sports world.

Grab a drink and be sure to salute the NFL Draft as it gets ready to deliver us the most fun we have had in a while. ESPN’s coverage starts on Thursday night at 7:00 PM EST, folks.
