NBA on TNT
Shaq is a man of his word. When he loses a bet he pays up.
We know this because Shaq ate frog legs on live TV during Thursday night’s broadcast of NBA on TNT. This came after the big guy lost a TCU-Georgia bet to his NBA on TNT co-host Ernie Johnson.
On January 6th, Ernie Johnson made his prediction.
He said the Georgia Bulldogs would be the TCU Horned Frogs 45-17. In hindsight, TCU would’ve LOVED that score.Shaq chimed in with ‘Ernie, I’ll make you a bet…’ He said ‘if Georgia beats TCU, I’ll eat some frogs.’ Adding that he would eat a horned frog (a near-threatened species). O’Neal specified that he would eat ‘cooked’ frogs after they shook on it. Oddly, Ernie Johnson didn’t have to agree that he would eat frogs if Georgia lost…

Flash forward to this week and Georgia handed the TCU Horned Frogs their butts. They beat TCU 65-7 for the largest margin of victory ever in a National Championship and the largest blowout in bowl game history.
So Shaq had a plate of fried frog legs brought out on Thursday’s NBA on TNT and he ate some frogs:

Now there are a lot of people watching that clip and reading this article wondering ‘what’s the big deal?’ There are those among us, myself included, who actively choose to eat frog legs.
If I see them on a menu there’s a decent chance I’m ordering them as an appetizer. But I understand that eating frog legs is a foreign concept to many.
For any curious minds, here’s a look at one of the best recipe for frog legs on the Internet:
