GOATs Love The Ryder Cup As Michael Jordan And Tom Brady Throw Their Support Behind Team USA

One of the best things about sports is the debates fans can have about which athletes are the greatest of all time. We love to do it so much we even try to compare them across sports with discussions about things like whether the GOAT of all sports is someone like Tom Brady or Michael Jordan?

By the way, the answer to that particular question is, of course, Michael Jordan, duh.

I don’t care what the people in all of these videos say. Come at me.

Regardless of where you fall in this discussion, another thing that is very cool about sports is when athletes from one sport show love for the pros in an another. Such is the case this week with American golfers taking part in the Ryder Cup over in France.

Two of the biggest names in sport, the aforementioned GOATs Brady and Jordan are just two of the stars that have thrown their support behind Team USA this week. And, as is always the way in cases like that, it’s very cool to see.

“Let’s Go USA!!! On the eve of the Ryder Cup, I wanted to wish both teams good luck and sportsmanship in the competition, Brady wrote on Instagram. “I have loved golf since my dad/mom and I got to spend time on the golf course together starting at 3 years old. And I have had so many incredible experiences with family and friends, from St. Andrews in Scotland, to Pebble Beach in CA enjoying such a great game! This bag was a gift from the 2016 USA team after winning back the cup in a historic way. I can’t wait to watch the best players in the world competing in the morning! #usabyamillion😂.”

Jordan, for his part, being semi-retired and all, made the trip over to Paris to support the boys.

MJ even gave the guys some advice on Wednesday night on dealing with the crowd in France, reports USA Today.

“(Jordan) talked about how he didn’t hear the crowd. I took that as, he couldn’t wait to shut them up,” said Brooks Koepka. “You might hear a few boos, whatever it is, but the quieter they are, you’re kind of laughing inside; you’ve done what you wanted to do.”

During his discussion, Jordan talked about going on the road to close out the 1993 NBA Finals.

“They lost the next two and had to go to Phoenix,” explained Rickie Fowler, a regular playing partner with Jordan in south Florida. “He said he packed one suit and one bag and told the guys, ‘We’re going there for one job; it’s to go win.’ And that was just something cool to hear.”

“Hearing his experiences and things he’s been through, like how you deal with things or maybe what he thought about or his outlook on what was ahead; I just love being around him.”

Like I said, very cool.
