Oklahoma State wrestling absolutely dominated Oklahoma in this year’s first iteration of Bedlam.

From start to finish, during and after the dual, the Sooners never stood a chance.

The fourth-ranked Cowboys defeated their 17th-ranked in-state rivals 31-3 on Sunday and won the post-meet match to seal the deal. When a brawl broke out in the handshake line, A.J. Ferrari put the scuffle to rest.

Ferrari, known as the ‘Italian Stallion,’ is the most exciting wrestler in the country. The 197-pound sophomore is straight out of Allen, Texas and became only the third true freshman to win an individual national title last spring.

His interview after advancing to the semifinals was pure electricity and his persona will make you want to run through a wall.

As if he couldn’t get anymore exciting, Ferrari stepped it up a notch after winning the NCAA title. He gave an interview that you’ll want to inject directly into your veins.

Now, in his second year with the Oklahoma State program, Ferrari is the nation’s top wrestler in his weight class. He won his match 6-3 on Sunday and cleaned up after the dual.

During the handshake line, Oklahoma’s Josh Heindselman, the only Sooner to win his match, had words for Ferrari. He, wearing Birkenstocks, shoved his rival competitor with clear intent.

In response, after some hand-fighting, Ferrari went low, wrapped him around the leg and scored the takedown. Had the two not been separated by their teammates and coaches, Ferrari was about to put in some work from the top position.

Here is what the broadcast showed:

Seems like a bad move from Heindselman. This is when he knew he messed up:

First of all, don’t go after Ferrari.

Secondly, don’t do so in Birkenstocks.
