Apple’s iPhone X has one feature that really sets itself apart from the competition – a vibrant 5.8-inch OLED display. Organic light emitting diodes emit light through each pixel, allowing for a thinner display, more brightness, better contrast ratios, higher refresh ratios, and darker black colors. Using the more advanced technology in the OLED screen to your advantage can equate to the iPhone’s X’s battery lasting far longer, even days longer.
The iPhone X’s Super Retina display can be manipulated to make the OLEDs work for you. OLED pixels are individually lit and if you are to have them as a black color they are not using power. You start turning off a good deal of the pixels in the 2436-by-1125-pixel screen and you will increase the battery levels. Apple rates the iPhone X with up to 21 hours of talk time, up to 12 hours of internet use, and up to 13 hours of wireless video playback. By changing a few settings on your iPhone X you can even expand on those durations.
