Sarah Hyland wants you to know that her character on Modern Family is bisexual. The 26-year-old actress confirmed that Haley Dunphy goes both ways when she was asked by a fan on Twitter this week. When one fan posted “Haley Dunphy is bisexual,” another Twitter user asked Hyland to confirm. Hyland wrote back, “I don’t know what the writers would say?

The Modern Family writers have not responded to the tweets. The theory that Haley Dunphy is bisexual comes despite the character having nine different boyfriends and no girlfriends during Modern Family‘s nine seasons.
