Last month, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer was forced to take an administrative leave as the school investigates if he knew about domestic violence allegations against assistant coach Zach Smith back in 2015.
Former ESPN reporter Brett McMurphy, who broke the story on his Facebook page, reported that he had seen text messages between wives of Ohio State coaches that prove Meyer must have known about the allegations against Smith.

Text messages I have obtained, an exclusive interview with the victim and other information I have learned shows Ohio State coach Urban Meyer knew in 2015 of domestic abuse allegations against a member of his coaching staff.
Courtney Smith, ex-wife of fired Ohio State assistant coach Zach Smith, provided text messages between her and the wives of Ohio State coaches – including Urban Meyer’s wife, Shelley – showing Meyer’s knowledge of the situation.
Today, Ohio State beat reporter Jeff Snook dropped a bombshell of his own when he claimed that University of Texas head coach Tom Herman, who was Meyer’s former offensive coordinator at Ohio State, was the “tipster” who reached out to Brett McMurphy regarding the domestic allegations against Zach Smith.
Update: According to Snook, Tom Herman encouraged Courtney Smith to come forward with abuse allegations as revenge for Texas losing a 5-star recruit to Ohio State this Spring.
