Northwestern Players Blast Administration After Firing Of Pat Fitzgerald

Northwestern players are blasting the school’s administration following the firing of longtime head football coach Pat Fitzgerald. The news broke on Monday, and apparently those players found out via social media.

Not only that, but the athletic director reportedly spoke to the team after the fact in a Zoom meeting.

Serious allegations surrounding the football program have been reported this week ranging from hazing to sexual assault to fostering a culture that enabled racism. After an initial investigation by the school, administration handed down a two-week suspension.

As the story continued to pick up steam, new accusations began to roll in. That pushed the university to fire Fitzgerald after 17 years on the sidelines.

Now, players are making their voices heard on social media.

Not only do they claim to have found out about the news online, but they’ve gone on to blast the administration for not meeting with the team in person.
