On Tuesday morning, Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre publicly addressed his alleged involvement in a Mississippi welfare scandal for the first time and declared his innocence while proclaiming that he’s been “unjustly smeared in the media.”
NFL fans are crushing Brett Favre’s first public comments about his alleged involvement in a Mississippi Welfare Scandal
Unsurprisingly deciding to give the exclusive comments to Fox News, Favre — who had his private texts about the welfare funds released publicly — claimed that he’s been the victim of a media smear campaign while outright stating that he did “nothing wrong.
”“I have been unjustly smeared in the media. I have done nothing wrong, and it is past time to set the record straight. No one ever told me, and I did not know, that funds designated for welfare recipients were going to the University or me,” the 53-year-old Favre told Fox News.
“I tried to help my alma mater USM, a public Mississippi state university, raise funds for a wellness center. My goal was and always will be to improve the athletic facilities at my university,” the former NFL quarterback claimed.
Needless to say, given how Favre has been seemingly implicated in the alleged scheme, the NFL world is absolutely crushing the comments made by the former Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, and Minnesota Vikings signal caller.

Brett Favre blames the media for sending a flaccid dick pic displaying his gray pubes to a younger looking version of his wife who was completely uninterested. https://t.co/02vI0aIARU

Brett Favre could've kept this lie to himself. No one believes him.
Favre literally said in a text:
"If I take this money, will the media find out about it…"

There’s more being action being taken for @tae15adams accidentally pushing a camera man that ran in front of him than there is for Brett Favre stealing millions from the poor people of Mississippi https://t.co/aDEmL3Eg4a

Favre, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame after 20 seasons in the NFL, was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 1991. After being traded to the Packers the following year, Favre forged a Super Bowl-winning career 15-year-long with Green Bay before spending his final few seasons with the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings.
