World Champion Cyclist Peter Sagan DQ’d From Tour De France For Causing This Insane Crash

World Champion cyclist Peter Sagan has been disqualified from the 2017 Tour de France for shoving fellow rider Mark Cavendish and causing a violent crash. Peter Sagan is the defending points champion at the Tour de France, and he’d already won Stage 3, but he’ll no longer be competing in this year’s event.

Sagan went on to finish second in this stage of the Tour de France only to find out that he’d been disqualified from the event, and justifiably so. Towards the end of the stage, you can see Peter Sagan throw an elbow into Mark Cavendish which sends the rider into the barriers. The elbow from Sagan leads to a very violent crash that ultimately takes down multiple riders. Let’s watch that once more in GIF:

Peter Sagan is a 5-time Points Classification winner of the Tour de France. He’s the biggest name in the sport with Lance Armstrong no longer competing. And now he’s been disqualified from the 2017 Tour de France for throwing one of the dirtiest moves you’ll ever see in the sport of Cycling.
