The uncertainty surrounding Lamar Jackson’s future with the Baltimore Ravens has been a hot topic in the NFL this offseason.

Despite being one of the most electrifying quarterbacks in the league, the Ravens have not fully committed to his return in 2023.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler recently

This move opened the door for other teams to make offer sheets for the 26-year-old quarterback, which the Ravens can match.

Although negotiations between the Ravens and Jackson have not progressed that far, there is still a lot of time before the draft, and teams are keeping a close eye on the situation.

NFL teams are watching the Indianapolis Colts, who have the fourth overall pick in the 2023 draft and could trade for Jackson if they couldn’t get the quarterback they want in the Draft, if the likes of Alabama Bryce Young and Ohio State C.J. Stroud are selected prior to the 4th spot.

Meanwhile, the Ravens have been indicating to some free agents that they would like to keep Jackson but have not fully committed to his return. This uncertainty is causing confusion for some players, such as Nelson Agholor, who recently signed with the Ravens as a wide receiver and is unsure who his quarterback will be.

There have been no reports of a formal offer from the Ravens to Jackson since the franchise tag was placed on him. Although opposing teams are able to negotiate with Jackson, most clubs have not pursued him in free agency.

Jackson has been a key player for the Ravens since being drafted in the first round in 2018. In 2019, he became the youngest quarterback in NFL history to win the league MVP award and has led the team to three playoff appearances in his four seasons.

As the offseason continues, the uncertainty surrounding Jackson’s future with the Ravens remains a major storyline to watch. With the draft and free agency still ongoing, it remains to be seen if Jackson will remain in Baltimore or seek a new team for the 2023 season.
