How’s that saying go?
“Life imitates art.”
Well there may be no truer example of that than Sunday’s incredible NASCAR Cup Series finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
3-WIDE AT THE LINE! WHAT A FINISH. Repost to congratulate Daniel Suárez on his Atlanta Motor Speedway WIN! pic.twitter.com/RdewRqJiwg

The finish saw Daniel Suarez take just the second victory of his career by .0003 of a second over second-place Ryan Blaney and .0007 of a second over Kyle Busch in third.
It was the third-closest finish in series history and the closest margin of victory ever between first and third.
“It was a very special moment,” Suarez said after the race. “I was just hoping. I saw the tower and thought I was first. I thought I had it but then they said there was a review.”

Even Blaney and Busch admitted after the race that they were amazed by the finish. In fact, both immediately compared the incredible ending to that of the 2005 Dinoco 400 from the legendary Pixar move “Cars.”

What a race! That’s one of the most “have you ever, no I’ve never” Lightning McQueen/King/Chick Hicks thing you’ll ever see. Congrats to my amigo @Daniel_SuarezG on the W. Hope everyone enjoyed it!
— Ryan Blaney (@Blaney)
In the scene, characters The King, Lightning McQueen and Chick Hicks go three-wide over the line and finish in a dead heat after McQueen sticks out his tongue at the line.
Unfortunately for Busch, nobody reminded him to stick out his tongue as he crossed the line.
“Lightning mcqueen, chick hicks, and the king look a little different here,” one fan tweeted of the finish.
“That is the best NASCAR race I have EVER seen! And with a finish straight out of Cars? 3 wide to the line? Are you kidding me? Unbelievable race with a somehow even better finish!! I feel like a little kid talking about Lightning McQueen, the King, and Chick Hicks,” said another.
It was a race and finish that finish will undoubtedly talk about for decades to come. But we’re just here to let you know that the folks over at Pixar did it first.
