LeBron James Apologizes For Quoting 21 Savage’s ‘Jewish Money’ Lyric In Instagram Post

LA Lakers superstar LeBron James found himself in a bit of controversy this weekend after quoting 21 Savage.

On Saturday, James posted a selfie on Instagram featuring lyrics from rapper 21 Savage’s “asmr” song from the new album i am﹥i was which references keeping “kosher” and “getting that Jewish money.

Here are the song lyrics.

“We been gettin’ that Jewish money, everything is Kosher (On God) Bought myself a ‘Ventador and bought my bitch a Roadster (Straight up) Drive my Lambo to the store, I’ma wave with my doors.

Here is LeBron’s IG post.

LeBron was immediately called out by Entourage creator Doug Ellin who was not happy James used ” anti Semitic” stereotype to describe Jewish people.

This is an anti Semitic stereotype used for centuries to foster hatred against Jews. @kingjames the nazis spread this nonsense everywhere #wordshavemeaning posting words to 44 million people has a ton of meaning.

Sports reporter Darren Rovell also went on to criticize LeBron over his post.

After last night’s Lakers-Grizzlies game, LeBron apologized for using the lyric on his Instagram.

Apologies, for sure, if I offended anyone,” James told ESPN following the Los Angeles Lakers’ 107-99 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. “That’s not why I chose to share that lyric. I always [post lyrics]. That’s what I do. I ride in my car, I listen to great music, and that was the byproduct of it. So I actually thought it was a compliment, and obviously it wasn’t through the lens of a lot of people. My apologies. It definitely was not the intent, obviously, to hurt anybody.”
