Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson’s Son Chirps USC Fans For Being Angry Over Arizona State Player’s Groin Kick

USC Football Arizona State Groin Kick Chad Johnson Jr

Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson is one of the best and best-known wide receivers of the early 2000s, and his son Chad Johnson Jr. was a four-star prospect at the same position in the college football recruiting Class of 2018. Unfortunately, despite his talent, he never made an impact during three years at Arizona State.

Johnson Jr. was listed on the Sun Devils’ roster for 2022, but not 2023, and lists himself as ‘Full Time Call of Duty’ on social media. It appears as though he retired from the game.

Either way, Johnson has a big following on which to continue to grow his brand. He boasts nearly 11,000 followers on X (formerly known as Twitter) and nearly 60,000 followers on Instagram, and is active on both platforms.

That was especially true on Monday afternoon as USC fans took issue with a potential dirty kick during Saturday’s game against Arizona State. Johnson chirped the Trojans for getting upset over something that already happened that is out of their control.

The play in question during the second quarter. Caleb Williams ran a quarterback sneak from one yard out and scored his second rushing touchdown of the game.

As he did, both teams were caught in a pile in the trenches. USC tight end Lake McRee was out on the edge and laid a questionable block on defensive lineman B.J. Green. McRee was all over him.

Whether the block was clean or not ultimately didn’t matter because they were both out of the play and it was just part of the game. However, as Green tried to free himself of McRee, his right foot made a kicking motion toward the Trojan’s groin.

Video of the incident looks painful. Ouch.

Naturally, USC fans were upset with what they perceived to be a dirty play. It’s easy to understand why they felt that way.

Green says otherwise. He replied back and brushed off the haters.

Definitely jus pulling my leg out, yall jus be reaching for whatever

— B.J. Green

At least one Trojan fan didn’t buy it and questioned Green’s explanation.

Normally, when you pull something, it moves backwards rather than forward. When your leg moves forward, that is usually considered a kick. What this proves is that you are not only dirty but also a liar.

— @TrojanGHorse

And then Johnson Jr. chimed in.

Uhh ok nerd he did it on purpose then now what

— Chad Johnson Jr.

Johnson didn’t come to the defense of his former teammate but he makes a good point. Green says it was an accident. Even if that isn’t true, what can be done about it now? Nothing. Move on.
