Cameron Brink, the former Stanford University center who was taken with the #2 overall pick in this year’s WNBA Draft, made her debut with the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday night in a matchup against the Atlanta Dream.

In the 92-81 loss to the Atlanta Dream, Brink started but played just 20 minutes, posting 11 points, 4 assists, and 2 rebounds in her WNBA debut.

Brink also went viral for her pregame outfit as she rocked an Alexander Wang dress that served as an advertisement for the WNBA’s League Pass, which will likely have more sign-ups than ever this year due to the likes of her, Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and many more exciting young talents in the league.

It’s been a massive week for Brink as she not only made her professional basketball debut but was also unveiled as one of the faces of the WNBA’s new partnership with Kim Kardashian’s underwear brand Skims alongside Kelsey Plum (who also made headlines with her opening-night outfit), Skylar Diggins-Smith, Candace Parker, and DiJonai Carrington.

Brink, 22 years old, was born in New Jersey before eventually going to high school in Beaverton, Oregon. During her college career at Stanford, she was a national champion in 2021, the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year in 2024, an All-American first-teamer in 2024, and the Pac-12 Player of the Year in 2022 and 2024.

Standing at 6 foot 4 inches tall, Brink’s best year at Stanford came during his senior season as she posted career highs in points (17.4), rebounds (11.9), assists (2.8), and blocks (3.7) per game.

The new Los Angeles Sparks center was just one of many exciting WNBA rookies to make their debut this week, as Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese also took to a WNBA court for the first time this week.

Clark made her debut in Connecticut on Tuesday night and scored 20 points (but also had 10 turnovers) while Reese got her first start for the Chicago Sky on Wednesday against the Dallas Wings and had 12 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist.
