Philadelphia defensive lineman Fletcher Cox is making waves with his pregame outfit at Super Bowl LVII. The Eagles’ big man sported a look that appeared to be inspired by the sitcom, Golden Girls.

Many online are reacting to the choice of apparel, posting responses on social media.

The Eagles are looking to win their first Super Bowl title since 2017.

They’ll have to get through Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs to do so.

With kickoff set for 6:30 PM, players and coaches began trickling into the stadium hours early as they looked to begin their pregame routines. Fletcher Cox absolutely stole the show upon arriving to the venue.

The lineman showed up in a bright purple suit and blouse. Take a look below.

Now, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen an NFL player trolled for his outfit choice.

But with the magnitude of the game, Cox’s getup started an immediate reaction as fans raced to social media to post their responses. Many echoed the same sentiments.

One person wrote, “Fletcher Cox stylist got him looking like somebody rich auntie.”

Another wrote, “Why does Fletcher Cox look like the mother of the bride?”

The reaction didn’t end there.

Blanche from Golden Girls, anyone?

Cox has certainly made a statement with his pregame fit, and he’ll hope that his play on the field speaks as loudly. The defender is in the midst of a great season while anchoring that Philadelphia defensive line.

The tackle has recorded seven sacks and 43 takedowns while also notching a forced fumble and a recovery.

He and the Eagles’ defense will now have the tall task of stopping a potent Chiefs offense that’s considered one of the NFL’s best. Kansas City is averaging over 29 points a game, and they boast one of the best pass catching duos in the league.

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are closing in on the NFL record for most playoff touchdown connections ever. They currently sit two scores behind the tag team of Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.

We’ll see how Fletcher Cox and the Eagles fare on Sunday night. It’s setting up to be a fantastic matchup.
