Dalvin Cook Gives Bart Simpson Type Response To Ridiculous Punishment Received For TD Celebration

Dalvin Cook is catching heat from the NFL for a recent TD celebration in his latest outing. The running back found the endzone late in the Vikings’ win over the Dolphins a few weeks back. That score would be the difference as Minnesota landed a 24-16 victory.

The excitement of the touchdown caused a reaction, as it capped a big day for Cook on the ground.

He finished the game with 77 yards and that game-clinching score to help his team move to 5-1 on the year.

The tailback celebrated by throwing the ball into the stands, which is a no-no according to the NFL’s rules policy. Cook has now been fined for the celebratory toss for a total of $7,426.

That fine can be reduced should

, which includes going through an online remedial training course and not having a second offense through the remainder of the 2022 campaign.

Tom Pelissero detailed the offense in terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Under the CBA, the 25% reduction is contingent on Cook completing an online remedial training course and not getting fined again in 2022.

The $7,426 fine is standard for a first offense of throwing the football into the stands. Under the 2022 CBA, fines for first offenses are collected in full, minus the conditional return of 25% at the end of the season.

To get the penalty down to $5,941, Cook will likely complete the steps, but he’s now responded to the punishment handed down from the NFL.

Dalvin Cook joked about the TD celebration, giving a Bart Simpson type response to the fine.

Cook hilariously wrote, “4 will not throw the football in the stands after touchdowns,” over and over again like a grade school punishment. We’ll see if he heeds his own advice.

Detention ends this weekend.

Hopefully, Cook has a special celebration planned for the next time he reaches the endzone. He’ll get his next shot on Sunday when the Vikings take on the Cardinals with a chance to land their sixth win.
