It’s hard to think of a more American experience than a Backyard BBQ, and that’s exactly what Fred Noe tried to capture with Booker’s 2nd Batch release of 2018. Fred Noe is the Beam Family’s 7th generation Master Distiller, and he’s named the Backyard BBQ batch in honor of his dad, Booker Noe, who had a passion for hosting old-fashioned cookouts in the backyard. These days, Fred Noe hosts ‘Bourbon-ques’ in the backyard with his own son, Freddie, firing up pork chops and bourbon.
The Backyard BBQ batch from Booker’s is meant to be paired with the perfect Summer BBQ. They say it’s paired best with good food and great company.
This release is uncut and bottled at natural proof. Tasting notes include ‘a nose with sweet hints of maple and vanilla notes’. It’s blended from multiple barrels which leads to a warm finish and balanced batch. This batch is now available nationwide so you can pick up a bottle in time for the 4th of July!
