Caitlin Clark is beginning to learn that the WNBA is much more physical than the college game.
During the NCAA Women’s March Madness tournament, WNBA veteran Diana Taurasi warned Clark and other up-and-coming college standouts that the game is much different at the pro level, where they’re playing against grown women.
“Reality is coming, there’s levels to this thing. You look superhuman playing against some 18 years olds but you’re going to come play with some grown women that have been playing professional basketball for a long time. not saying that it’s not going to translate, when you’re great at you do you’re just going to get better, but there is going to be a transition period when you have to give some grace as a rookie, it make take a little bit longer for some people”
Clark has struggled with the game’s physical nature in her rookie year in the league, just like Taurasi said.
On Saturday afternoon, the Indiana Fever played the NY Liberty and during the game, Clark got absolutely destroyed by a Breanna Stewart screen.

While Clark had her best game of the season vs the Liberty, they still lost and have now dropped three straight games.
