What Conor McGregor Said To Nate Diaz During Their Post-Fight Embrace Has Been Revealed

We’re one week removed from the Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor five-round, highly entertaining blood bath that resulted in The Notorious One winning a majority decision by the narrowest of margins (48-47, 48-47, 47-47).

While it’s somewhat disappointing that UFC President Dana White confirmed that there would absolutely be no third match to break the 1-1 tie, we can take solace in the fact that we are left with an instant classic–a war that met it’s hype.

A grown man fight that epitomized everything the UFC hopes to be.

You may remember during McGregor and Diaz’s post-fight embrace, before Before McGregor’s hand is raised in victory, McGregor said something to Diaz that only them two could hear.

Thanks to an episode of Thrill and the Agony, a video produced by UFC, we now know what he said.

“Great fight brother. Great fucking fight. You’re a Mexican warrior. You’re a little Mexican warrior brother.”

It just goes to show you that despite all the perceived pre-fight disrespect–the bottle throwing incident at the weigh in, McGregor calling Diaz ‘skinny fat,’ Diaz flipping off McGregor’s corner mid-fight–when the bell is rung and both fighters are bloodied and bashed, all theatrics are buried away and the only thing left to show is reverence.
