WNBA’s A’ja Wilson has landed a major marketing deal weeks after being at the center of controversy.
Two weeks ago, it was reported that Caitlin Clark would be signing a massive deal with Nike to start a signature shoe line, which led to people like Jemele Hill asking why Wilson hadn’t received a similar deal.

‘I didn’t say any of these players didn’t deserve their own shoe,’ said Hill ‘I’m just surprised arguably the best player in the WNBA — a best-selling author and someone Time put on their 100-most influential list — doesn’t have her own shoe.’
It appears that Gatorade agrees with Hill’s sentiment about Wilson.
On Tuesday, it was reported that Wilson had signed a multi-year deal with Gatorade and would be the focus of an upcoming marketing campaign for the company.
“Partnering with @Gatorade is a dream come true. They’ve been fueling me on & off the court since I started out…[they] helped me get my MVP for sure.” @_ajawilson22 joins a roster of great athletes i/c Suni Lee, Serena Williams, Sydney McLaughlin, Caitlin Clark & Paige Bueckers pic.twitter.com/wfa4vM3XyJ
