The Suns and Nuggets will meet once again for game 3 of the Conference Semi-final matchup in Denver. Like the last two games, this will be a defense heavy game. Even though these aren’t the best kinds of games to watch, they’re extremely competitive games. Game 2 kinda sucked to watch I am not going to lie. I hope this one can be a more offensive game and the teams can actually knock down the shots they take like the Warriors and Lakers do, but I just don’t see that happening. The shots KD and Devin Booker were putting up were just not finding themselves going in and made the game look like it was 2 AAU teams going at it instead of professional basketball. The Phoenix Suns have run into some trouble being down 2-0 to the Joker and company. They have a steep hill to climb, but it is doable. They just need to hit more shots and get more damn boards. KD is a perfect example, he went 2-12 behind the arch. If they want to win, he either needs to take better shots or actually make the shots he’s taking. He is also Kevin Durant and he will crap the bed from time to time, but I know he’ll be chefin’ up next game as usual. I know Chris Paul got hurt and everything but 8 points from him is pathetic. Also the bench put up a total of 4 points, which is lackluster. Devin Booker did put up a little 35 piece with 5 rebounds and 6 assists. See, the Suns are a good team and can win games, they just need an attitude adjustment and some inspiration.
The Denver Nuggets seem to be unstoppable. They out score, out rebound, and straight up out play almost every team they play. Jokic had a little double-double the other night with 39 damn points and 16 frickin rebounds. Man was absolutely unstoppable in the paint and the big man even let a few fly from behind the arch. Aaron Gordon also had a pretty good night with 16 points, but only 1 rebound and 1 assist. One thing that the Nuggets could improve on would be actually making their shots and their offensive rebounds. Jamal Murray was 0-9 in his 3 point attempts and 3-15 in his field goal attempts. Pretty awful if you ask me. They could’ve won or had a more comfortable lead if he made half those shots. They also only had 5 offensive rebounds in the entire game, while they had 36 defensive boards. Again, if they had made more of an effort to get those offensive boards, they would have been a little more comfortable.
These two teams are going to duke it out again May 5 in Denver, where the Suns are in desperate need to take this next game. Meanwhile, the Nuggets want to tighten their grip on the series and have better chances in moving on to the Conference Finals. This next game is completely up in the air. Can never go wrong with betting on KD. But, Jokic is that guy, it’s completely up to you, but make sure to responsibly throw some money down either way!
