New York Giants Fans Are Losing Their Minds Over ‘Ridiculous’ 2023 Schedule

Tis the season for NFL schedules to come out, which means it also is the season for certain fan bases to shout about how they think the NFL is screwing them.

This year it’s the New York Giants fans’ turn.

Why?

As football analyst Warren Sharp explained

getElementsByTagName(s)[0],p=/^http:/.test(d.location)?'http':'https';if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src=p+"://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");, “OFFICIAL: the Giants are the FIRST TEAM be forced to play on the road 7 times in the first 10 weeks of the season since the NFL reinstated bye weeks in 1990.”

Then, in the same tweet, just to make you understand, Sharp wrote, “the NFL has never forced a team to play on the road in 7 of the first 10 weeks.

Then he added, “OR in 7 of their first 10 games…until now.”

Got it?

The New York Giants have to go on the road 7 times in their first 10 games this coming NFL season.

Naturally, this development isn’t sitting well with much of the Giants’ fan base with some fans saying it is

among other things.

“The NFL hates the New York Giants,” one fan tweeted. “It has been this way ever since they took away 2 more Super Bowls from Tom Brady.”

“Roger Goodell hates us,” echoed another fan.

“A group of college kids with a spreadsheet could do a better job putting together a fair and balanced schedule than the NFL does,” read another complaint.

“How was this even allowed? Lmfao,” another fan tweeted.

For what it’s worth, the New York Giants, even with the weird home and away quirk, are just tied with the Cowboys and Patriots for the third hardest strength of schedule in the NFL in 2023.

They do have to play eight games against 2022 playoff teams: Dallas twice, Philadelphia twice, Miami, Buffalo, San Francisco, and Seattle.

However, for all those complaining Giants fans, they might want to remember that their team did go 14-5 (including the playoffs) last season thanks to, according to Warren Sharp, New York having the easiest schedule in the league in 2022.
