We’re getting closer and closer to the much-anticipated release of EA Sports College Football 25, the first licensed college football video game in over a decade. Friday marked a big day for those fans anxiously awaiting the game,
What many think is the cover of the upcoming game was leaked on the PlayStation store.
The game officially became listed as “announced” by the PlayStation store. With that, supposed artwork and a cover for the Deluxe Edition was also on the store. Take a look .

It looks like from that angle that the main players on the cover are Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, Michigan running back Donovan Edwards, and Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter. Other players in the background include Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, Georgia’s Carson Beck.
That’s a good group of current players, and I think most would have no gripe with those guys getting the spotlight if the game is going to do current players instead of the legends of the last ten years of college football that never got a chance to be on the game.
But, that may not be the cover, or at least the only cover. The official Twitter account for College Football 25 made it sound like they were surprised by the images getting posted to the PlayStation store, and that there is at least one other cover coming.
Welp, we were surprised too… see both covers next Thursday. pic.twitter.com/5ILQGFBJlx

That’s big news! What else are we getting next Thursday, which is 100 days from the start of the college football season? Could we be getting a trailer with game footage at long last? That’s the hope!
As for the second cover, I think there are two directions they could go.
The first direction is including athletes that may have been on the cover in the years they didn’t have a game. Those guys could be players like LSU’s Joe Burrow, Penn State’s Saquon Barkley, Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel, or Louisville’s Lamar Jackson.
The other direction that they could go is honoring retired Alabama coach Nick Saban. That would make a lot of sense, as the most-played game mode has always been Dynasty Mode. Who else better represents a return of Dynasty Mode than Nick Saban?
We will have to wait until Thursday to find out exactly what EA Sports has up their sleeve.
