Hilarious Clip Of David Beckham Calling Out Wife Victoria For Claiming She Grew Up ‘Working Class’ Goes Viral

A new documentary about English football legend David Beckham hit Netflix earlier this week, and one of the best moments of the doc has nothing to do with sport at all.

While interviewing his wife Victora Beckham (Posh Spice), Beckham pops his head in the room to call out his wife for trying to claim she grew up in a working-class family.

The tactic Beckham used, which the viral tweet compared to that of an investigative journalist, was to press Victoria on one specific issue: what kind of car her father would drive her to school in?

“Be honest,” Beckham sternly says as he pokes his head through the door. “Be honest.”

“What kind of car did your dad drive you to school in? One answer. What car was it? What car did you get your dad to drive you to school in??

After trying to dodge and give over-elaborate answers, Beckham finally got Victoria to crack and reveal that she was driven to school in a Rolls-Royce, thus obliterating her point.

As soon as he got the answer he was looking for, Beckham swiftly left the room with virtually perfect comedic timing. Not before first tossing in a “Thank you,” though.

The 48-year-old Beckham, who is the current co-owner and president of MLS club Inter Miami, began his professional career with Premier League club Manchester United in 1992, making his senior debut at the age of 17.

From there, Beckham — mainly known for his free kick and crossing ability (and his movie star looks) — would go on to establish a legacy as one of the most iconic players in the history of the Premier League. Beckham would play with United from 1992 until 2003, making 265 appearances and scoring 62 goals.

He would then go on to join iconic Spanish club Real Madrid in the summer of 2003, where he’d spend the next four seasons.

In 2007, Beckham moved to the Los Angeles Galaxy in what has proven to perhaps be the most important signing in the history of the league, as his star power not only further legitimized the MLS at the time, but his long-term commitment to the project is what ultimately led to Lionel Messi landing in Miami earlier this summer.
