ESPN personality Pat McAfee used Martin Luther King Jr. day as an interlude to claim he’s been “canceled by both parties” during the Monday episode of The Pat McAfee Show.

McAfee, while speaking on his show that is broadcast on ESPN at Noon EST and simulcast on YouTube, began by saying that he [Martin Luther King Jr.

] “had a dream” before discussing the opening election and his weeks of Aaron Rodgers-generated controversy.

“He [Martin Luther King Jr.] had a dream!” McAfee began while affecting a deeper, MLK-like voice amidst a chorus of claps from his co-hosts.

“And I think LANK was one of the closest we’ve had to potentially that dream coming to fruition. So let’s realize that as we look around and realize that we’re maybe more close than we’ve ever been,” he continued.

McAfee then got to the apparent point of his diatribe by quoting The Beatles and calling for unity.

“And there’s an election about to take place next year where we need to remember that we are more close than we have ever been… now, as somebody who was canceled by both parties last week, both of them canceled me. Two political parties canceled me last week and we are still alive. Let’s remember we don’t need the outside noise. All we need is a little bit of love.”

McAfee’s comments stem from recent appearances by Aaron Rodgers on his show, who, among other things, accused Jimmy Kimmel of being an associate of Jeffrey Epstein and went on a lengthy rant on his research into the COVID vaccine, Anthony Fauci, and things of that nature.

Last week, following Rodgers’ lengthy rant on Tuesday, McAfee said on Wednesday that he wouldn’t appear on the show for the rest of the season. On Thursday, however, Rodgers was back on the show.
