  • Odell Beckham Jr. won his first Super Bowl title with the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
  • Prior to unfortunately tearing his ACL, OBJ caught the first touchdown of the game.
  • While recapping the play on the sideline with Matthew Stafford, Beckham Jr. brought up his former quarterback Eli Manning.

A roller-coaster season for Odell Beckham Jr. — which saw him released by the Cleveland Browns and signed by the powerhouse Los Angeles Rams — ended in both fantasy and nightmare for the 29-year-old wide receiver.

Beckham opened the game on fire, catching two passes for 52 yards and a touchdown in just over a quarter of play. However, in the second quarter, he went down with a non-contact knee injury that turned out to be a torn ACL, which sidelined him for the rest of the game. Still, given that the Rams only won Super Bowl LVI by three points, OBJ’s first-quarter touchdown was vital as they would’ve lost the game without it.

In some sideline footage that can be seen on the latest episode of Paramount+’s Inside the NFL, Beckham recapped the play with his fellow Super Bowl-winning quarterback Matthew Stafford on the sideline and used the opportunity to make a crack about his former QB and future Hall of Famer Eli Manning, suggesting he used to throw that ball just a *bit* better than Stafford did.

“Hey, where’d the ball hit you? Was it good? A good spot? Just kind of right out in front?” Stafford asked Beckham on the sideline following the touchdown.

“Uh, I mean, Eli (Manning) used to throw it a little like — ,” Beckham grinned, essentially joking that Stafford’s pass could’ve been a bit better.

“I don’t know why you didn’t wear No. 10. All you throw is dimes,” Beckham said.

It should be noted, of course, that Eli Manning was a two-time Super Bowl champion and two-time Super Bowl MVP. While Stafford has one ring and zero Super Bowl MVPs, I highly doubt he cares all too much about that right now.
