Trevor Lawrence Reportedly Tests Positive For COVID-19, Will Miss Boston College Game

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19, according to Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. The Tigers are set to host Boston College on Halloween night, but they’ll be doing so without Lawrence as he will have to quarantine for 10 days per ACC protocols.

Clemson will likely hand the starting quarterback job over to true freshman DJ Uiagalelei.

The 6-foot-5 quarterback was a four-star prospect out of California before signing with the Tigers. He’s appeared in all five games for Clemson this season and has gone 12-for-19 through the air for 102 yards while picking up two touchdowns on the ground.

It’s safe to assume that running back Travis Etienne will have a heavy workload against Boston College on Saturday.

Next up for Clemson is a huge matchup at Notre Dame on November 7.
