New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll wasn’t the only one disgusted by the play of his team Monday night.
Pretty much anyone with even a modicum of interest in the game found them very hard to watch.

Daniel Jones suffered through 10 sacks on Monday night, the most in a single NFL game in the past five years. (The NFL record is 12 sacks in a game.)
Jones, who the New York Giants signed to a four-year, $160 million contract in March, also threw two interceptions, one of which was taken 97 yards to the house by Seattle’s Devon Witherspoon.
“We knew he liked to stare down his first target.” the rookie defensive back told NFL Network after the game. Ouch.
Heck, things got so bad Monday night that two Giants players, center John Michael Schmitz and tight end Daniel Bellinger,

On Tuesday, Stephen A. Smith piled on even more during First Take, saying, “I’m not blaming the New York Giants, I’m blaming the National Football League… Why the hell are they on national television?”
It’s a legitimate question.
According to
“That’s the worst point differential by any team in a span of 3 prime-time games within a season since the 1970 merger.”
Not only that, as Smith also pointed out on First Take, Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is “1-12 as a starter in prime time games, 0-7 on Monday Night Football.”
Incredibly, the New York Giants still have two more prime time games on the schedule – Week 6 against Buffalo and Week 14 against Green Bay. Both games, however, could be flexed out by the NFL.
