Taylor Swift will arrive to Las Vegas on Sunday afternoon. She is back in the United States after flying through nine different time zones on her return trip from Tokyo.
However, the international pop icon landed in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon and will take the short flight over to the Super Bowl prior to kickoff.
Her flight will be one of thousands to land and/or take off from Harry Reid, Henderson Executive, North Las Vegas and Boulder City airports this weekend. The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that it expects 3,500 more takeoffs and landings than usual at local airports. Approximately 500 aircrafts will be parked at the four different locations. Those are pretty huge numbers!
The FAA put a slot reservation system in place for parking spots from Feb. 6-13. They have been full for weeks— even before the AFC and NFC Championships concluded.
That leads to the question of the hour: Did Taylor Swift get a parking spot?!
We don’t know for sure, but there is simply no way that she didn’t. Whether it was reserved in advance, saved through a friend, or bought through her endless finances, Swift will be able to park somewhere in the Las Vegas area this weekend. It’s kind of a dumb question— especially considering that the NFL would find a way for her to land on the Strip if it was the difference between her being at the game or not.
Yes, Taylor Swift has a parking spot.
And if somehow she does not, there are ways to navigate around the full lots. Private jets could land in Las Vegas, drop their guests, and fly elsewhere to park for the weekend. A helicopter from Los Angeles is also an option.
Don’t worry Swifties, your queen will (probably?) have no issue getting to the game!
