The Rock isn’t going to stop being himself and bend to the networks.
Earlier this week, there was a report that the WWE had sent a memo to wrestlers to remind them to continue using PG language during broadcasts and on social media.
“I can exclusively report that a recent memo emphasized the need for talent to follow PG guidelines on TV and social media.
Despite this, The Rock’s profanity, like in a recent promo, has raised questions among talent about double standards. They wonder why he’s allowed to curse while others aren’t.”During the latest edition of SmackDown, FOX appeared to try and censor some of The Rock’s language when he called a woman in the crowd “horny.”
On Sunday, The Rock said that he would not be curtailing his language despite the network’s complaints.
“You sound like somebody the Rock can love – drunk and horny”
“Networks and “standards & practices” have issues with my language, but I’d rather be real than not. I talk from the heart, shoot from the hip and try to always have fun.”
