Last week, a disturbing story broke about former NFL safety Sergio Brown and his 73-year-old mother Myrtle Brown.

Sergio Brown had gone missing for several days at the same time his mother Myrtle’s body was found in Addison Creek behind her home in Maywood, Illinois.

Sergio later re-emerged in a video on Instagram, calling the reports “Fake news” and bizarrely claiming without any context, “It has to be the FBI, they came into my house…unwarranted. They kidnapped me twice from home, the Maywood Police Department. It had to be the FBI or the Maywood Police.”

He added, “I thought my momma was on vacation.”

Brown appeared to have filmed the video from somewhere in Mexico.

An autopsy of Myrtle Brown revealed that she died as a result of a homicide.

This week, Sergio Brown re-appeared on Instagram in another video, supposedly shot from his mom’s hometown of Maywood.

“Oh my God, oh my God, if I die, I’m a legend,” Sergio said in the clip.

He ended the video by shouting nonsensically, “Drizzy Drake!”

The Sun also reports that police have collected footage of Sergio Brown burning some clothes “in a self-started fire following his mother’s death.”

“They seen him taking out the trash, and they seen him have a bonfire where he burned all her clothes,” a neighbor, Carlos Cortez, told CBS News.

Cortez also claimed that the family had told him that Sergio Brown “wasn’t himself the last few months. He was out of his mind.”

The 35 year-old former NFL player, who went undrafted out of the University of Notre Dame, played in the NFL for seven seasons, from 2010 to 2016, on the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Buffalo Bills.

Sergio Brown is still considered to be a missing person as the Instagram videos were not posted to his verified account, but instead on a newer account with a bio that reads, “U know who locked me out.”

Police are also still trying to confirm the locations where the videos were taken.
