Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau brought his son to see Barbie and his daughter to see Oppenheimer, as evidenced by photos he recently shared on social media.
With the internet being the internet in the year 2023, though, a certain section predictably got worked up about how Trudeau chooses to spend his free time with his children.

The Canadian Prime Minister then followed up with a photo of him and his daughter at a screening of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer just a few days later.

This photo, too, found a way to anger a particular section of the internet.

Barbie, which has grossed over $1 billion at the global box office, stars Academy Award nominees Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken. Additional cast members include Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Emma Mackey, Kingley Ben-Air, Dua Lipa, Rhea Perlman, John Cena, Michael Cera, Helen Mirren, and more.
Similarly, Oppenheimer — which stars Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., and Florence Pugh — has grossed over $500 million at the box office since releasing in theaters on July 21.
