Bryce Young was drafted by the Panthers with hopes of reviving the franchise. His first season in the NFL has been anything but a success. Carolina is the worst team in the league.
All of the consistent failures broke the No. 1 overall pick on Sunday. He finally snapped.
The Panthers failed to score during the majority of their game against the Jaguars.
They totaled less than 200 yards of offense. Young barely eclipsed the 100-yard mark as a passer. And then he lost it after Carolina was forced to punt after taking a 10-yard sack on 3rd-and-8 during the first half.

Young went over to the sideline and reviewed the tape alongside passing game coordinator Parks Frazier.
He did not like what he saw. The 22-year-old rookie threw the tablet at the ground with rage.
Young continued to express his frustration as he walked back down the sideline.

To Young’s credit, the anger was directed toward himself and he took full accountability for what he missed on the failed third down play. Despite the tablet spike, it was not a tantrum!
Unfortunately, his day did not improve. The Panthers went three-and-out, again, on the very next drive.
Although there have been some growing pains from Young, it’s hard to put any of the blame on the first-year signal-caller. His offensive line doesn’t give him enough time to take a three-step drop, let alone go through his reads and deliver a strong throw to the right receiver.
All of the pent-up frustration reached its breaking point on Sunday and Bryce Young lost his cool for the first time in his brief NFL career. It’s surprising that it took this long!
Fortunately, an end is in sight. Unfortunately, Carolina’s likely No. 1 pick belongs to Chicago.
The Panthers will have to wait until the second round and/or free agency to get its quarterback more protection.
