On Wednesday, we told you how Ariana Grande suffered a tattoo fail of the ages when she attempted to “7 Rings” tattooed on her hand to promote her new song. Fortunately for the Thank U, Next singer she was able to get her tattoo fixed. Unfortunately for Grande her ink still doesn’t say “7 Rings” and it is even more ridiculous than it was on Wednesday.
Grande got a tattoo that was supposed to read “7 Rings” in Japanese, but something was hilariously lost in translation because what it actually says “BBQ grill,” technically a small charcoal barbecue known as a “shichirin” in Japan. The 25-year-old singer got her tattoo “fixed,” but she actually made it worse.

Grande said she would have got the correct tattoo, but it hurt too much and left the tattoo unfinished. “Indeed, I left out ‘つの指’ which should have gone in between. It hurt like f—k n still looks tight. I wouldn’t have lasted one more symbol lmao. But this spot also peels a ton and won’t last so if I miss it enough I’ll suffer thru the whole thing next time.”

That seems like a lie since she posted a photo of her incomplete tattoo on her official Instagram account. Why would you post an unfinished tattoo if it just needed a finishing touch and you got it completed the next day? Sounds like she was trying to pretend like she already knew that her tattoo was f*cked up before everyone on the internet let her know that her ink was about a barbecue.
Despite earlier saying that she purposely left early because it hurt too much, Grande was back at the tattoo shop to correct her erroneous ink on Wednesday. In a deleted Instagram post, Ariana said she got her tattoo fixed. “Slightly better. thanks to my tutor for helping me fix … rip tiny charcoal grill. miss u man. i actually really liked u.” Narrator: “It was not fixed.”
The ink now says “Japanese BBQ Finger” according to BuzzFeed reporter Eimi Yamamitsu.
