Milo Yiannopoulos, the controversial conservative voice, made his first appearance since February on Friday night where he announced that he would be suing Simon & Schuster for $10 million. In the event called “Cinco De Milo,” which has male and female strippers, Kalashnikov guns and a huge yellow snake named “Jared,” the provocateur also said he would be starting his own publishing company and announced a new college tour.
Milo revealed that he would start his own publishing company called “Dangerous Books.” The first book to be published by the new company would be Milo’s autobiography “Dangerous.”
On February 20, Simon & Schuster canceled plans to publish Milo’s autobiography despite being the #1 seller on Amazon’s list of best-sellers after audio was revealed of Milo endorsing improper relationships with 13-year-olds.
In February, clips from 2015 and 2016 revealed that Yiannopoulos said that relationships between adults and 13-year-olds could be “perfectly consensual.” Later in the interview, Milo said, “I think the [age of consent] law is probably about right, that is probably roughly the right age … but there are certainly people who are capable of giving consent at a younger age, I certainly consider myself to be one of them.”
There was outrage over the audio which caused Milo to lose his book deal with Simon & Schuster, his speaking engagement at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), and his job as an editor at Breitbart. Milo has since apologized for the comments and said that in his relationships, where he was the younger person, he was mature enough to handle the situation.
Yiannoplous also announced that he was starting a new college tour called “Troll Academy.” Included in his upcoming tour is the University of California, Berkeley. That is the site where Antifa rioters set fire to the campus and violently forced the university to cancel the event by the outspoken Libertarian voice.
