At one point in time, revealing the gender of a baby-to-be was a pretty low-key affair that usually involved making a few phone calls to some loved ones or sending out some photos of the ultrasound if you were feeling particularly ambitious.
However, in recent years, plenty of people have turned that announcement into a bit of a spectacle with the gender reveal parties that have taken the world by storm despite the many instances where they’ve led to some pretty disastrous outcomes.
Everyone has a different approach to those gatherings, and it’s safe to say Zion Williamson and his girlfriend Ahkeema spared no expense while organizing the gender reveal party they recently threw ahead of the birth of their child.

We were also treated to a video of the party where they learned the gender of the child, which begins with Williamson sharing a heartwarming message to his future kid, saying, “Baby, you’re going to see this at some point. I don’t know what the future holds, but mommy and daddy love you.”
The video also featured plenty of shots of the lead-up to the big reveal, as dozens of guests participated in requisite party games while helping themselves to some baby-themed drinks and chowing down on an impressive spread of food before learning a girl is on the way courtesy of the pink fireworks that were harnessed for the “reveal” portion of the evening.
Williamson has been incredibly candid about the mental health issues he’s grappled with as he’s battled injuries over the past couple of years, so it’s great that he seemed to be genuinely happy about what’s in store.
