Fans across the NFL world begged the refs not to throw a flag during the Chiefs final drive of the fourth quarter in the Super Bowl. An holding call on JuJu Smith-Schuster ended up costing Philly the game, but it turns out that the refs didn’t throw a flag on a different play on the drive when they should’ve.
While Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson wasn’t flagged for lowering his helmet on Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco in the Super Bowl, he was fined.
Gardner-Johnson received a $14,111 fine for his hard hit because initiated contact with his helmet.

Gardner-Johnson Took To Twitter To Protest
Gardner-Johnson made it clear that he didn’t agree with the fine.

Gardner-Johnson’s agent told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network that he will appeal the fine.
