Folks, you may not know it but you are currently going through what may be the most overreaction Wednesday in sports media of the year. Giannis and the Bucks lose Game 1, LeBron and the Lakers drop the first game as well and all hell has broken loose in the media. Absolute panic in the sports world today even though we know damn well the Bucks won’t lose this series and that the Lakers are still big favorites to win theirs.
But forget all that, don’t let it distract you from the fact that we have a monster NBA playoff board today.
No disrespect to the young stud that is Donovan Mitchell, but I just think Denver is too much to handle for this Utah team. Nikola Jokic in the paint is and continues to be a problem and I love the fact that Jamal Murray looked unstoppable in Game 1. Take the Denver boys -3.5 and don’t look back.
Once again, the 76ers are in shambles and there is no sign of them being able to turn it around anytime soon. I don’t like betting against Jayson Tatum and I certainly won’t start tonight. Go ahead and lock in the Celtics -4.5.
I just squeaked by with the Clippers pick in Game 1 and I plan to do the same again tonight. I think we will have another back and forth game just like in Game 1, but overall the Clippers I think will both win the game and cover this spread. Put your money on that Clippers’ depth tonight, these guys don’t get tired.
