But cheesy poofs were derived from Planters’ Cheez Puffs. These puffed corn snacks covered in a cheese powder were the shit in the ’80s and ’90s, simpler times when your parents thought these snacks were “healthy” because they had “cheese” in them.Sadly, Planters’ Cheez Balls were discontinued back in 2006. But due to public outcry that included petitions, the balls are back! The Kraft Heinz Company announced that Planters Cheez Balls and Cheez Curls would return! However, these cheesy snacks are only returning for a limited time. BOOOOOOO!
