Former MLB All-Star pitcher Esteban Loaiza was arrested Friday with more than 20 kilos (approx. 44 pounds) of either cocaine or heroin, Yahoo Sports reports.
The 46-year-old was being held on Monday on two felony counts of transporting and possessing narcotics with intent to sell, jail records obtained by FOX5 San Diego stated.
The 46-year-old MLB journeyman had a productive 14-year MLB career from with eight different teams, and is the second-winningest pitcher from Mexico in MLB history. He started the 2003 All-Star Game as a member of the Chicago White Sox. He last took the mound for the White Sox back in 2008.
Esteban, who has an estimated net worth of $20 million, will be in court Wednesday to face his drug charges. His bail is set at $200,000.

I’m no criminal justice major, but I don’t see the sense in a man who is worth tens of millions of dollars involving himself in drug trafficking scheme.
