Believe it not but I’m pretty goddamn cynical when it comes to fight videos on the Internet. Fight videos are one of the instances where people just don’t give a shit and YouTube/LiveLeak uploaders use the most over the top headlines imaginable. So I didn’t expect much when I clicked this video showing cellphone footage of a brawl Sylmar High School (California)….
Holy hell was I wrong. This is easily one of the most insane fight videos I’ve ever seen, the entire schoolyard is going wild, throwing punches and kicking people everywhere the eye can see:The LA Times reports:
Cellphone video captured the 20-minute melee that exploded Monday on the sprawling campus at 13050 Borden Ave.
It took 12 officers to control the students who were seen running throughout the campus, swinging their arms and hitting each other, KNBC-TV reported.
In an email to parents, school Principal James Lee said several students were involved in a fight and that “disciplinary action” had been taken. He added that the students’ parents had been notified.
It’s not clear what started the fight, but several students told KTLA that race and a dispute stemming from prom may have been a factor.
PROM?! Are you fucking kidding me? The entire schoolyard went savage, looking like a Roman gladiator battle to the death, and it was over a fucking PROM DISPUTE?!? Newsflash teens: you won’t give a flying fuck about prom ever again. Sure it was a fun night but in the grand scheme of things it’s one of the least significant nights of your life, and nowhere close to being the most fun. You’ve got chaperones lording over you for the majority of the night, how much fun can you truly have under those circumstances?
Anyways, this fight was nuts and I give it a 9 out of 10.
