Colts held onto their running back, Jonathan Taylor, as the trade deadline passed on Tuesday. Now we learn more details about the near trade.
Recent revelations indicate that the Green Bay Packers, in addition to the Miami Dolphins, showed significant interest in acquiring Jonathan Taylor, creating unexpected trade discussions.
ESPN’s Stephen Holder reported that the Packers, despite having standout running backs in Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon, were indeed interested in adding Jonathan Taylor to their roster.
This move has taken many by surprise, as the Packers’ backfield seemed well-stocked with talent.
Reportedly, the Colts also pretended “wild requests” to the Dolphins in exchange for Taylor. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald mentioned that the Colts asked for rising star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle as part of the deal for Taylor.
As @HolderStephen reported, Packers were mystery bidder for Jonathan Taylor, besides the Dolphins. And can confirm through Dolphins person, as reported by Indy media, that Colts made wild requests from Miami, including Waddle & more.
