NY Jets QB Aaron Rodgers was seated a few feet from former President Donald Trump, and things seemed awkward between the two.
On Saturday night, Trump made his way to Newark, New Jersey, to attend UFC 302 just days after he was convicted of 34 felonies in New York.
Trump wasn’t the only celebrity at the event, as Rodgers was invited and seated behind Trump and UFC CEO Dana White.
Throughout the night, fans chanted “F Joe Biden” and “Trump,” which led Rodgers to facepalm as Trump enjoyed being serenaded by the crowd.

Fans also noticed that Trump and Rodgers didn’t interact with each other despite being a few feet from each other.

It’s unclear if there was some tension between Trump and Rodgers after the NFL QB criticized the former President during a recent podcast appearance.
“He had four years to do it and didn’t drain the swamp.”
“Whether he just got scared because of what he learned when he was in there, I think that’s very plausible.”
