Knicks’ Enes Kanter Delivers Low Blow To LeBron James Following The First Ejection Of His Career

Enes Kanter stats this season: 13.6 ppg, 10.2 rpg.
LeBron James stats this season: 28.2 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 8.3 apg

If we’re discussing caliber of player, the Kanter/James comparison is like comparing Starburst to Necco Wafers. Enes Kanter doesn’t deserve to be said in the same sentence as LeBron James, unless we’re talking trolling.

And that’s exactly what we talkin’ bout, Willis!

For the first time in James’ 1,082 game career, he was ejected from a game with 1:59 left in the third quarter. With his team up 23. On a call that 95% of the players in the NBA wouldn’t get.

The ref, Kane Fitzgerald, claims that his decision was based on “a couple different acts. Immediately after the no-call, he turned and threw an air-punch directly at me and then he aggressively charged at me and then he used vulgarity in my ear a few times.” At the time of his ejection, James had 21 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and five steals.

Shortly after LeBron’s ejection, Enes Kanter (a losing Knicks opponent) tweeted out the below:

Kanter’s ‘King of New York’ reference was in response to James’ Instagram post after defeating the Knicks two weeks back, narrowly missing a triple double with 23 points, 12 assists, and 9 rebounds.

During that game, James and Kanter got in a brouhaha that no one asked for.

I never knew I needed this Enes Kanter/LeBron feud, but I will not be satisfied until they throw hands.
