I firmly believe that sushi is an addiction. The higher end you get, the hard it is to satisfy this addiction. And I love ’em all: Sushi Yasuda in New York. Sugarfish in L.A. Sushi Kimagure Ike. Sushi Gen. Omakase-style sushi. Edo-style sushi.
Sushi is one of the few culinary delights that is pure art.
That’s why I love this two-minute featurette on Chef Daisuke Nakazawa — former apprentice of famous sushi master Jiro Ono, of Netflix fame. It’s two minutes of bliss.Good luck getting into his restaurant, Sushi Nakazawa. If you’re a connoisseur, it belongs high on your international sushi bucket list.
And always go Omakase. Always. And when it’s in season, get the blackfish. It will blow your mind.
