Russell Westbrook is one of the most prolific players in the NBA. For that reason, he is also one of the most controversial as fans are split about him.
Well, that discussion took new heights on Monday night after a video surfaced of the Los Angeles Lakers star ignoring a young fan.
NBA Central shows the viral Tik-Tok. You can see Russell Westbrook hop out of a car as he enters a building. The young fan asks for his autograph, only to have Westbrook completely ignore him.

Basketball fans are completely split about what to think about this clip. Some believe Westbrook should have signed the jersey in the hopes to make the kid’s day. On the other hand, some argue that Russell Westbrook is human too, and doesn’t have to sign anything if he doesn’t want to.
Bro has the audacity to shoot 20% from the field and not sign that kids jersey

Some claim the people behind the Tik-Tok account stalk celebrities for autographs all the time.
That guys entire page is stalking celebrities outside their hotels

This might be the start of an evil villain’s origin story.

Russell Westbrook signs jerseys all the time. Choosing not to sign one isn’t the end of the world.
Just Caz he didn’t sign one jersey don’t mean he’s a bad guy

At the end of the day, I don’t see anything wrong with Westbrook ignoring that kid. Maybe he can use it as a life lesson. Something like, you don’t always get what you want. Who knows? Either way, Russell Westbrook shouldn’t be painted as a villain just for this one video.
