When things were rolling in Philadelphia the past few years, arguably no fan base was more vocal in their support and trash talk online. But, after yet another Eagles loss, this time at home to the lowly Arizona Cardinals, public opinion has significantly swung against the Eagles among the team’s fans.
The Eagles lost 35-31, to the Cardinals on Sunday, in an absolutely embarrassing defensive performance that saw the team give up 221 rushing yards and be dominated in total yardage and time of possessions against one of the league’s worst teams.
There are a lot of ways to lose a football game. In my opinion, the most frustrating way to lose is when the other team is physically manhandling you, and that’s what happened to the Eagles. It’s especially frustrating considering the team is built to succeed in the trenches and got outplayed by one of the worst teams up front in the league.
This marks the fourth loss in five games for Philadelphia following a 10-1 start. They’re now just 11-5, and the Dallas Cowboys will win the NFC East with a win next week against the Washington Commanders.
Needless to say, the natives are restless. Twitter is full of comments from disgruntled Eagles fans. Here are some highlights.
Remember when the Eagles were 10-1 and life had meaning? That was fun.

We can play games and single out people we hate. The Eagles defense has stunk for weeks. The coordinator was wrongly fired & they still stink. Byard was carried into the end zone there. Bad players = bad results.

I beg the eagles to take some action in the offseason. Wasted generational offense with some terrible play calling and terrible defense. What a joke.

There are literally thousands of tweets just like that one. Bottom line, Eagles fans are fed up, and they have every right to be.
