It’s not looking good for Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.
On Sunday night, the Patriots suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Miami Dolphins after falling short on a bizarre play at the end of the game.
On fourth down with about a minute to go in the game and down seven points, Pats tight end Mike Gesicki caught the ball and instantly saw that he was going to be short of the first down.
Gesicki lateraled the ball back to offensive lineman Cole Strange, who ended up getting close to picking up a first down but was ruled just short via replay review. This beautiful football play that had Cris Collinsworth making noises was ruled short after review. #SNF pic.twitter.com/IytIVGs3lb

The Pats are now 0-2 on the season after the loss to the Dolphins. The last time the Patriots went 0-2 was in 2001, when they won the Super Bowl.
Pats 0-2 for first time since 2001. Week 3, 2-0 Colts in Foxboro. Drew Bledsoe out. Some 6th round pick named Brady made first NFL start.
Pats won in a romp – Brady very mediocre – and a Hall of Fame career was launched.— Mike Chappell (@mchappell51)
After the Pats latest loss, NBC cameras caught Belichick looking extremely sad on the sideline.
