Cross Your Fingers That You Have This One Quirky Body Trait That Says A Lot About Your Penis Size

Right this second, take a look at your right hand. Is your index finger shorter than your ring finger?

For those of you who are not sure which finger is which, here’s a handy photo.

For those of you who have a longer ring finger than index finger, congratulations you big-dicked stud! A study published in the Asian Journal of Andrology from 2011 suggested that men with shorter index fingers in relation to their ring fingers were more likely to have a larger penis.

The study was carried out on 144 men aged 20 years and older who underwent urological surgery at Gachon University Hospital in Incheon, South Korea.

Longer ring finger length compared to the index finger is known to scientists as the 2D:4D ratio and has also been linked to fertility, sexuality, promiscuity and attractiveness.

Men who have a shorter index finger than ring finger are said to have more attractive face. A 2011 study published in the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B alleges that the testosterone in the fetus can affect how the individual’s face develops, and how attractive that face is.

Longer ring fingers may even help men become wealthy. Academics at Canada’s Concordia University measured finger lengths and personality differences among 415 men and women for the journal Personality and Individual Differences. Their findings suggested that men with longer ring fingers were more likely to be alpha males who subscribed to the “Work hard, play hard” mantra. They were more likely to take risks and had more potential to amass wealth. They were also more likely to be fit, rich and assertive, thus more appealing to women who covet those characteristics.

“What’s interesting is this tendency is influenced by testosterone exposure – more testosterone in the womb can lead to more risks in the rink, the bar and the trading floor in later in life,” said researcher Eric Stenstrom.
